The rendering of historical figures in pixelated form seems, interestingly, to be a running theme. For example, Australian designer Peter Locke’s popular Motifo kits, consisting of 1,296 magnetic-backed PVC tiles, feature a range of iconic subjects that wannabe mosaic-makers can realize on their fridges, from Che Guevara to Audrey Hepburn.
